Yesterday I had my first proper journey in a Smart, have had a quick thrash up the road in one a few years ago and loved it, but yesterday had to chance to do it for real.
To say I was impressed would be an understatement, I'm no lightweight so was very pleased with what I found.
Think some of it was down to the way it was driven!!

To keep the mileage down a bit on the smart and to enjoy some freedom on the open road and to ease through traffic, I decided in September last year to get one of these. I'm not really interested in bikes, this is purely a means of virtually free commuting* when the weathers good. If I get to use it 6-8 months of the year I'll be happy. I haven't used it for about a month now due to the cold/icy/snow/fog weather...

Amazing weather for the revival this year!! I think that was our summer. Another brilliant event. Jochen Mass flipped his ferrari after the chicane yesterday, I believe the only person injured this year but I have been told not seriously. Just in case anyone had heard and was worried. Roll on revival 2009!!!

just to let you know (those who were at the meet today) that I passed the test and now have an addition to the family. she is absolutely gorgeous and I'm pretty sure her middle name will be "TROUBLE". Also, conspiracy theories have emerged after Dave Richards (Prodrive/Aston Martin owner) was also involved in a air accident when his helicopter crashed also this weekend, fortunatley him and his wife were not seriously injured.
