What a long gap
between my last diary in-put & now..... How long is a length of
rope, and how long does it need to be for a company to hang itself
?...
I sometimes wonder, how important is the customer ?... Especially when they have paid in advance!... They say; music is the food of love, but how can you feel satisfyingly full, when
the musical sound is not up to the BBC radio-five a-day quality you require, even when you have paid to have that radio-five-a-day quality sound ?...
Guess who hasn't phoned me to make an appointment, to install said Speakers, and I've only waited since the 17/07/2009......

P.S. Don't forget, it's the forth Sunday of the month this coming Sunday, and that's a "Cowfold Brekies" day.... More later !....

Like I said,
there's more...The evening's 3rd Monday-of-the-month meet went well, there was a "Mediterranean Alfresco" feel to the meet this time in the garden, This was mainly due to the smelly drains, I've never seen so many people as there was this Monday because of the mild weather, the cottage pie seemed to be the over-all choice this time, but I stuck to my o'le "Ham-egg 'n Chips" thus, proving, I have no sense of adventure..... It's nice to know people DO read the "Ramblings" of an old bugger like me, BRRRM BRMMMM, that's what I say..... Ever heard the one about the pensioner and the peanuts ?, or the pensioner and the dog food ?. Heard the one about the ageing Hollywood actress ?; She comes in from seeing her beautician and her husband remarks on, how much of a waste of money that was. Rubbish, she says, my beautician said, that I have the body of a 20yr old, and the face of an 18yr. old, and the teeth of almost baby's teeth!.. Y'er says the husband, but what did he say about your 75yr. old cúnt ?... OH!, she said, He never mentioned YOU!!... T.S.T.H.

I've just watched
15 people get into a fortwo with all doors&windows shut afterwards..
I think, if I was one of them, I would rather use my pensioner Bus-pass and meet them at the other end of the journey.... T.S.T.H.

New lyrics to the sound of music.... | ||
|
Try singing the new lyrics, to an old favourite song....
The song; My favourite things..... Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting, Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings, Bundles of magazines tied up in string, These are a few of my favorite things.. Cadillacs cataracts, hearing aids and glasses, Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses, Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings, These are a few of my favorite things. When the pipes leak, when the bones creak, When the knees go bad, I simply remember my favorite things, And then I don't feel so bad.. Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions, No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions, Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring, These are a few of my favorite things. Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin', Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin', And we won't mention our short shunken frames, When we remember our favorite things.. When the joints ache, When the hips break, When the eyes grow dim, Then I remember the great life I've had, And then I don't feel so bad.... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> (Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores) The reason for the long ovation was because, those pensioners who started clapping first, then stopped, forgot they had already clapped, and just started all over again!... What the hell is
Button up to ?, starts 5th., 3 laps later he down to 8th., 9th.,now 11th., you would think it was being driven by he's 97yr. old granny or a "New
Labour" rep., all the rest of the world go first, no matter how much we are intimidated by them, then we say thank-you....
Can't watch any-more, I'm going for a ride in the forest before I put my boot through the screen, Button, your certainly NOT on the button today mate!!.... That will be interesting, next year, there will be no fuel stops, larger tanks for the whole race, just pit-stops for tire changes or break-downs... Button's back to 9th again... time 13:43..... What a week it has
been so far.... (South&South East-in-Bloom Awards)...Loads of awards won by East&west Sussex, Surrey and Kent, but hardly a hand-full for Brighton... Considering Brighton hosts the Awards, and the Guy presenting the awards was Btn. born trained by parks&gardens& Sussex Uni, Chris Collins, (BBC Blue Peter gardener, & presenter of many TV gardening programs) other than my area (Kemptown), only a few individuals entered their Hanging baskets, front gardens, commercial frontage,Pubs, and the "Most attractive block of flats", 3 groups or organizations bothered to enter the competition in the Btn&Hove area, Newhaven did incredibly well, taking many individual awards, so did Haywards Heath, Bex-hill, Eastbourne, Hastings, through to many little, medium,& large villages and towns, Crawley did the best in Sussex.... The Mayor of Btn. told me she was very disappointed in the lack of effort made by the council&Residents of Brighton considering the amazing places in the city that could have been entered in to the competition, such as the Flowered clock at Palmeira Square, the Amazing "Rockery garden" opposite Preston park towards the Preston manor end, Withdean park with it's beautiful "Lilac Garden"... In the next twelve months, I promise you all, I will do my damnedest to change this situation for the better, or die trying... And, No I don't need anyone's Bloody gun, thanks !!.... T.S.T.H.

Hi everyone,
Another Brookland's "smart fest" over for another year, our tube drive up to Brooklands
was done without anyone getting lost at the back of the tube, and we didn't end-up parked outside someones house, wondering why the front car had driven
into the drive-way, as we drove into the car-park (which was very full by then), most of our tube parked at the far end, but I carried on back to the
"Blue-badge section, right back by the entrance, almost at the main building, with only a short walk to where it was all happening, you could feel the
"Buzz", but before you even got to the "Malay" of people, you could already smell the really stinky food stalls, (and
probably stinky stalls in the loo's later Saturday), don't know what the Cornish pasties and burgers tasted like but they stank enough
to reach the car-park...(and put you off wanting one), we took our own sandwiches, made for us at the Chalet Cafe at "Brekies" time before we left in
the tube up to Brooklands...
I really liked the show cars especially the "ofroadster" with it's stars&stripes paint-job, and the vinyl-rap chrome smart, until you got up close to it and saw the finger marks and thick layer of dust it acquired in a short space of time, you would be forever cleaning the dammed thing!!.. I also managed (after 3yrs.) to get a top stop-light "smart" transfer, a new exhaust-pipe end, and a neat little gadget that frees you up from having to carry your car-key.. Inside the main building, there were some amazing new Brabus designs, nice sets of led strip lights set in the front spoiler skirting, a complete all-over metallic light-green paint-job, with custom black pig-skin with the same green (as the body colour) piping on the seats, went and said Hi to Allen and he's wife at their "Sussex Trailers" site amongst the various shops, he has this amazing "A" frame design for towing smarts, the "A" frame section looks really light&easy to carry and fit, and high-tec electronic bits permanently fitted inside...(very ingenious idea), great if you have no room to store a trailer... We left the "fest" about 4pm., and was back in hove by 5.15pm., hardly any bulk of traffic on the way home, I was one of the slowest motors on the road at 70mph on the M25&M23/A23,yes I know what your thinking, She never went over 70mph ???, all-right!, just once or twice or three times, but really!, that's all !!...
HONEST!!...

WOW!! That was a lively meeting, We put the Brighton chief cabinet housing Cllr. in her place and will all receive a written apology from her, we had a County
court case against her yesterday, and she won on a technicality, but the Judge gave her a right slating, and told her the things we had taken her to court over
should still be put right, and the council should not be so draconian in their attitude towards the social housing residents of the city...
The Judge said that if the Council housing department set up committees of tenants with professional backgrounds in all aspects the building trade, such as Surveyors, site managers, double glazing, plumbing, gas & electricity experts, costing managers and accountants, the council should not over-ride the decisions of these committees just when it suits them for political gain.... The council spent £144,000 getting an employment agency to find a new Chief Executive Officer for the Brighton.-Hove city council, and the best they could come up with, is a civil servant from central government, who we believe is here to make loads of cut in services around the city with no allegiance to the residents of the city because he still lives in London and rate payers pay for this man to live 3 days a week on his own, in a 5 story house in Royal crescent, on the sea front, one of the 29 homes owned by Simon Cowel (X factor), it's got to be a couple of grand a week... I suppose I feel a bit triumphant about the out-come of this afternoon's meeting this evening, but it pisses me off thinking about how much it costs us, for this bastard to live here
3 days aweek...
